Lyrics

This love hurts; it's right and true,
Part of my soul, belongs to you
You and me, the bond is strong
Gave you all, surely that's not wrong?

O Miss Lane, what a game, you're insane
Much to learn, from life, all to gain
Don't kiss goodbye; don't let the fire die
Don't deny; don't live a secret lie

Pass this way, not here to stay
Beg you please, do not tease, do not play
Pay the price; ask what I've done
Tears, regret; I've been and gone

Soulful eyes, heartfelt pain
Love denied, guilt and shame
Mind games hide the situation
I can feel your desperation!

Inside your soul; love's for real
Tell you now; it's not surreal
Convince yourself, you'll not succeed
Candle burns: I'm what you need

Still You Let Me In

Key: Em

Lyrics

Your wisdom’s like an X-ray
Seeing right under my skin
I’m young naïve and stupid
Still you let me in
Still you let me in

Confused I tend to hurt you
Forget you feel this way too
So many times I will do
Still you let me in
Still you let me in

I’ll tell you what I see
Special bond you and me
That’s what I see
And you know

Your wisdom’s like an X-ray
Seeing right under my skin
I’m young naïve and stupid
Still you let me in
Still you let me in

You’re right to be persistent
No matter that I’m distant
Or sometimes I’m resistant
Still you let me in
Still you let me in

I’ll tell you what I see
Special bond you and me
That’s what I see
And you know

Your wisdom’s like an X-ray
Seeing right under my skin
I’m young naïve and stupid
Still you let me in
Still you let me in

Opened the gate let you through
Your love's real, motives true
Part of me, as I am you
Glad you let me in
Glad you let me in

I’ll tell you what we see
Special bond you and me
That’s what we see
Yes we know

Album review by music reviewer Duncan Rigby

Miss Lane
This is mood music, it took me back to a 'when'. When smoke hung like strata in the air. When there was that invisible sun. When flares and afghan coats were worn. When bars were made of real wood, not Formica. Give it a listen and spot your sonic nostalgic 'when' moment.

Still You Let Me In
This power ballad cuts it, I could not stop it driving me, it was changing gears and kicking it on down that road to that inevitable meeting.
